I have always loved the look of wirehaired/bearded breeds, I just adore rough coated terriers, wire haired pointers, Italian Spinones etc and had actually been toying with the idea of a hairy lurcher to train up for flyball! I was just looking around (as you do) when I came across this litter of working beardies on a farm down in Worcestershire, one look at the photos and I immediately fell in love with this little dark faced blue merle bitch with her black button nose and soft dark eyes
how could anyone resist?! I guess if I am going to have a wirey/hairy breed it may as well be another collie! She's a very quiet and sweet little pup who loves her toys.
Maisie started her flyball training on her first birthday and proved to be a natural, she competed in her first starters competition the next day and gained a 1st place rosette which was followed by another at her next tournament 2 weeks later! She came straight out into open on her 18 month birthday and is proving to be a reliable little height dog (measured at 12"). What a super clever little beardie she is! :o)
