Slatey came to me after the sudden death of her breeder and my dear friend Shirley Bell and is owned in partnerhsip with Shirley's daughter Jo.
I had originally been and chosen a dog pup from this litter when they were born but we just didn't 'click' so I let him go to a friend who really wanted him; in all honesty I had totally fallen in love with the two blue tri girls, particularly the dark faced one (Slatey) but I had gone up there to get a boy so I took the only one there was; I have since leared to just go with my gut and just have the one I like the best, regardless of sex! Despite being an 'accident' the pedigree combines all my favourite Canen lines and the pups are related to all my previous Canens and doubled up on my dear old Spangle.
Slate is currently just settling into her new surroundings and way of life and I hope to train her for flyball later this year too. She will be health tested and hopefully bred from at some point in the future.
